How people think of me?

A while ago I didn’t use to ask myself  how did he think of me or how did she think of me.

The way I used to look at myself was from my own eyes not other’s eyes.

Lately I started to see myself through the others’ eyes, why was that ? I believe it’s because I am not satisfied by myself and because my eyes no longer  think I am good enough. So I started to judge my self and think of my self the same way people around me think of me, and then the problem started and I will give few examples .

– when I do something  that seems wrong in someone eyes  ,not necessary wrong but maybe (not good enough) or ( could have done better ) I start questioning my self get sad and frustrated WHILE I know that according to my personality , my character , my capabilities and my opinion that this is the best thing to do or the best thing I can do.

-I no longer have goals of my own or approaches of my own I think in my head this way : “ I am going to it this way , mmm no, what would X think of that mm, no I should do it his/her way ( X’s way ) “ ,that lead me to do the following

                – if I am going to do something there are 2 possibilities

                                1- do it X’s way .

                                2- do X’s thing not my thing.

And this lead to that I do nothing I like because I am doing X’s things , and the things I like to do , no longer feel pleasure or excited about it because I am doing it X’s way.

This thing is simply my life.

And you can imagine how it is too weary ,heavy and makes me tired and loaded all the time.

This kind of life is just plane gray, colorless.

So I decided to go back to who I really am, if my own eyes see I am not enough if I see myself not good enough ill love myself and be better one for myself,

It’s not easy but it is going to work I am going to be myself and ill pray to be myself.

As first start I didn’t write an article maybe for 8 months and now I am writing one that means I am getting back to who I am, and let me say to you if you love doing something and stopped doing it because you looked at it from others’ eyes then shut those eyes and look at it from yours, its valuable in your eyes, you love it, so don’t stop doing it, it’s maybe a talent, a gift or just something you enjoy ,it’s a part of you and God gave it to you so that you enjoy it, and have it in your life.

I have one more thing , since I am getting back to be myself,  questions are playing drums in my head,

-Am I going to close the door for God ? , will I no longer ask for his opinion ? will I no longer share myself with him?, my thoughts ,my ideas, my questions, my dreams? .

-If I find something bad in me and not pleasing God and it really needs to be changed, how does God going to react about it, is he going to blame me ? , is he going to be mad at me ? because if this is God’s reaction then I am afraid that the same thing of not being myself is going back again, this time not because of people but because of God : (   . and in everything I am going to do I am going to ask myself is this what God wants me to do ? ( and I mean here doing normal or good things or something I love ,not sin )  and I’ll start running in the same wheel again.

But thank God that his reaction is not what I mentioned, his reaction is the following:

In James 1 : “2My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

I bolded verse 5, because it’s saying if I lack something, God is not going to get mad at me, instead he is offering giving me that thing I lack, like wisdom as it’s written above,  wow it’s a relief, I don’t have to be  afraid of God because if I want to be myself it’s not something he is against because he loves me as I am (

Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.)

And the things I lack I don’t have to be afraid of him because of it, or have to hate myself because of it, ill ask him to give it to me as this is what he wants, and I should remind myself that he is this way : “ who gives to all liberally and without reproach “.

And another thing :

(proverbs 3:11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction;

12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects,  Just as a father the son in whom he delights.)

Me and Satan

Hi all, I want to share something with you, that i guess we all experience, it’s about how the devil (satan) have an impact on our lives and how the devil really effects my and your spiritual life.

I got it all from Matt4. Please read with me the following lines.

Matt 4
The Temptation of Jesus
1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6″If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
” ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9″All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him

I want to share with you the following points:

1-  satan choose the best time, and the best conditions to tempt you.

where in verse 3 (The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”. )

satan here tempted jesus with the need of jesus in the perfect time  where in verse 2 ( After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.).

satan waited till jesus  got hungry, till he needed bread, and then he started tempting him, that says that the devil will not tempt me with something that i am already satisfied or do not need, as an example, if i am financially satisfied , and i am very satisfied with the money i got, satan is not going to tempt me to steal, or try to tempt me in this field, because i am satisfied and if he does i am going to shut him no great effort, but if i need money, satan is going to tempt me to steal,, or to tell me to work so hard  and let all the work take all my energy and my time and to consume my mind, so that my life becomes absorbed and centered about my work, leaving no time for God and no time to for family ,and anything that is going to draw me near to God and makes me a better man, satan is going to put a pressure on you in any field that you are not satisfied in, other example is relationships, I am a single man, and i have the need to love a woman and to marry , make a family and so, and for anyreason this need is not fullfiled, it’s not just a body’s need but an emotional need too ,, satan is goint to tempt me in this field, annoys me always with it, makes it a pressure on me, trying to lead me to unethical relationships , trying to draw me into the circle of pornography ” saying it is going to satisfy your physical and emotional needs”,, trying to lead me to fornication, etc….  -drowning me in sin- .

but Jesus gave us the solution in those temptations, gave us the key to get out of it in, verse 4 (Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.)

Jesus is telling us that you have a need, that’s true, but on the other hand you have Jesus, you have God,  jesus answered  ‘ IT IS WRITTEN ‘  , the word of God, the relationship you are having with God, the Father you have ,do not ignore it ( ignore that there is a God  who wants to be in your life, and don’t forget about how much this God can satisfy all your needs in  ways that are never harmless but much and much better , true, and lasting ),, if you are hungry , remember that you not only live on bread alone, but there is your relationship with God, there’s Jesus in your life.

as i am a single man ,sometimes when i see a couple, the need of being in love with a girl aches me,it leads sometimes self pety and sadness sneaks into me, and as mentioned up this opens up a door for the devil to tempt me as i mentioned up. but the way to fight this is to remember that i have Jesus, I have him in my life, so why have self pity and let this takes my peace away. i am not saying that the need of love is bad and so,my main point is that how the devil will tempt you in your weak point ,tempt you with your needs and in the perfect time and conditions ” after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry”

2- the second point is satan, tempts you to test God and his promises to you and me like he did with Jesus as in :

7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

satan used the verses from 5 to 6 to make Jesus test God,  can you feel how  dangerous it is to start thinking in your mind  ” yeah what if i fall in danger ,would God be there for me, mmm ok , i am going to put my self in danger and let’s see if Jesus is going to do exactly like he said or not”,, opening the gates of doubt and it’s like cancelling your faith in  God words and promises which is the confidence that God is going to fulfill everypromise he made to us,..

Jesus knew that if he throws himself down angels will come and hold him and lift him ,and the jews would see so and it would be a very easier way that  people believe that he is the messiah and save himself all the pain ( passion)  and the road to the cross ( it was presented in a very clear and beautiful way in the movie ” miracle maker ” ),

Jesus gave us from the answer this time too ” It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test” . the words of God are the answer, reading the word of God ( the bible) draws you closer to God ,and introduces him with his thoughts love and what he really thinks of you, getting to know him better, to read the word of God is your protection from all the lies that satans tell, if you pray that God gives you a daily bread from the bible ,talks to you and gives  you an understanding for his words,  then reading the bible is going to change your heart and mind, and God is all loving and willing that reading the bible really effective and not just ‘reading and let go’  .. in mattew 7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

3- the third point is where Satan is Going to tempt me with great,splendor,glorious things if i let go on God, if i surrender to him. it may be a temptation with money,fame, or so , even in choices ,if you have to choose between two things 1- to obey God and not do something, and this choice is going to make you lose an oppurtunity or brings you trouble 2- to disobey God, do something wrong, and this choice will lead you to have it all,.

know that the 2nd choice will lead you to lose your self and your salvation.

Satan here wanted Jesus to bow down to him ,to worship him, but jesus had the answer, and gave it to us, in verse 10 “10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him”… the answer of knowing the wrong from write is WRITTEN, it’s in God’s words, and jesus said to satan, “away from me” , telling satan go away from me in Jesus name, is a power that God gives to all who believe in him , to all his followers , to have the power to tread on satan  ( treading on scorpions and seprents ), Do not be afraid of evil       “Psalms 112:1-8 …Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly inHis commandments (words) … He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is
steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established; He will not be afraid”… also in jeremiah 1 “”Don’t be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you, says Yahweh.”

4- the 4rth point is a general one, which is that Satan insists to tempt you and doesn’t go away and leaves you from the first time, he just insists, but have no fear “If God is for us, who can be against us?” romans 8:31.

and remember james 4:7 ” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.

Isaiah 43: 1-3

But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
2″When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
3” For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

Golden Opportunity

April 12 – Golden Opportunity

I am your Guide. Strength and help will come to you; just trust Me wholly.

Fear not. I am evermore ready to hear than you to ask. Walk in My ways, and know that help will come.

Man’s need is God’s chance to help. I love to help and save. Man’s need is God’s golden opportunity for him of letting his faith find expression. That expression of faith is all that God needs to manifest His Power. Faith is the Key that unlocks the storehouse of God’s resources.

My faithful servants, you long for perfection and see your bitter failures. I see faithfulness, and as a mother takes the soiled, imperfect work of her child and invests it with perfection because of the sweet love, so I take your poor faithfulness and crown it with perfection.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we 
ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Ephesians 3:20

 

Break Free

April 10 – Break Free

I sent no disciple to carry My Healing Power to the Syrophoenician woman’s sick daughter, the centurion’s servant, or to the ruler’s son. My Word was all-sufficient.

All that I needed was the faith of the petitioner. Can you not realize that?

Learn to understand and to ask more of Me. If you do not, then others’ bonds are your responsibility.

Loose your own body from all bonds. Remember “the beam and the mote.”

As the fault (the beam) is removed from your own eye, giving you the power to remove the mote from your brother’s eye, so if you bring your body into subjection, discipline it wholly, you will be enabled to free your brother from bonds that bind him to ill-health.

Divine Efficiency

April 4 – Divine Efficiency

I am all-powerful and all-knowing and I have all your affairs in My Hands. Divine efficiency as well as Divine power is being brought to bear on them. All miracle-work is not the work of a moment as so often men imagine.

My servant Peter was not changed in a flash from a simple fisherman to a great leader and teacher, but through the very time of faithlessness — through the very time of denial — I was yet making him all that he should be. Impetuous spokesman as he always was, ready to lead the other disciples, Peter could never have been the after power he was, had he not learned his weakness. No man can save, unless he understands the sinner.

The Peter who was a mighty force for Me afterwards, who, more than all others, founded My church, was not even first the Peter who said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,” but the Peter who denied Me. He who had tested My forgiveness in his moment of abject remorse, he could best speak of Me as the Savior.

The Kingdom of Heaven can only be preached by those who have learned to prize the authority of its Kingdom. A many-sided training My Apostles need. Oh! joy. Oh, rejoice. I love you. Not one test too much will I lay on you.

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory.” 1 Peter 11:7

The True Signs

March 29 – The True Sign

How many believed on My Name after seeing the signs which I did?

Not for the signs, not for the water made wine, not for My miracles will My true follower believe in Me.

No, for something deeper, seen only with the eyes of faith, realized only by a heart of love responding to My Heart of Love. Not of these must it be said, “I do not trust Myself unto them” as I did of those who saw My signs.

I must trust Myself and My Cause to My followers who see me with the eyes of faith. How else can I be loved and known?

They will meet Me, the outcast Savior, when I am performing no mighty deeds, wandering unheeded and unacclaimed through dark and lonely ways, and they will pause, all other pursuit forgotten, and will yet turn and follow Me.

Follow because of some chord in them responsive to the yearning of My Heart for Man, who has shut Me out. Follow, too, because of that in Me which is responsive to the cry of man’s hungering soul.

Evil Mountains

Faith and obedience will remove mountains, mountains of evil, mountains of difficulty.

But they must go hand in hand.

Help From Everywhere

March 20  – Help from Everywhere

Your foolish little activities are valueless in themselves. Seemingly trivial or of seemingly great moment, all deeds are alike if directed by Me. Just cease to function except through Me.

I am your Lord, just obey Me as you would expect a faithful willing secretary to carry out your directions. Just have no choice but Mine, no will but Mine.

I am dependent on no one agency when I am your supply. Through many channels My help and material flow can come.

“I delight to do thy will, O my God.” – Psalm 40:8

 

Reflect Me

March 16 – Reflect Me

My children, I am here beside you. Draw near in spirit to Me. Shut out the distractions of the world. I am your Life, the very breath of your soul. Learn what it is to shut yourself in the secret place of your being, which is My secret place too.

True it is, I wait in many a heart, but so few retire into that inner place of the being to commune with Me. Wherever the soul is, I am. Man has rarely understood this. I am actually at the center of every man’s being, but, distracted with the things of the sense-life, he finds Me not.

Do you realize that I am telling you truths, revealing them, not repeating oft-told facts. Meditate on all I say. Ponder it. Not to draw your own conclusions, but to absorb Mine.

All down the ages, men have been too eager to say what they thought about My truth, and so doing, they have grievously erred. Hear Me. Talk to Me. Reflect Me. Do not say what you think about me. My words need none of man’s explanation. I can explain to each heart.

Make Me real, and leave Me to do My own work. To lead a soul to Me is one thing, to seek to stay with it to interpret mars the first great act. So would it be with human intercourse. How much more then, when it is a question of the soul, and Me, its Maker, and only real Spirit that understands it.

“In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness 
and in confidence shall be your strength.” – Isaiah 30:15

Your Cross is You

March 15 – Your Cross is You

Remember, you are only an instrument. Not yours to decide how or when or where you act. I plan all that. Make yourself very fit to do My work. All that hinders your activity must be cured.

Mine is the Cross on which the burdens of the world are laid.  How foolish is any one of My disciples who seeks to bear his own burdens, when there is only one place for them – My Cross.

It is like a weary man on a hot and dusty road, bearing a heavy load, when all plans have been made for its carriage.  The road, the scenery, flowers, beauty around – all are lost.

But, My children, you may think I did say, “Take up your cross daily, and follow Me.”

Yes, but the cross given to each one of you is only a cross provided on which you can crucify the self of yours that hinders progress and Joy, and prevents the flow through your being of My invigorating Life and Spirit.

Listen to Me, love Me, joy in Me. Rejoice.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall 
keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
