The Lord Will Not Hear

Hi friend.

I want to share with you something that sure concerns you, sometimes hear the voice that’s saying. you are a sinner, you do this specific sin, how do you think that the Lord is going to hear your prayer,how is he going to turn his ear towards you, he has turned his face away from you, why would he hear you asking for forgiveness, or asking for peace, or asking for him to come closer,he hears no sinners.

King David wanted to tell us about this issue

in psalm 66
 ¹⁶ Come and hear, all you who fear God,
         And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
 ¹⁷ I cried to Him with my mouth,
         And He was extolled with my tongue.
 ¹⁸ If I regard iniquity in my heart,
         The Lord will not hear.
 ¹⁹ But certainly God has heard me;
         He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
         
 ²⁰ Blessed be God,
         Who has not turned away my prayer,
         Nor His mercy from me!

those previous words are clear, if i regard iniquity in my heart . God will not hear me this is what we think but in the next verse 19 But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.

he hears.what God told me is that it’s true that you regard iniquity in your heart. but my mercy is not turned away, and i will hear your prayer. God is not ok with me regarding iniquity in my heart.but if this voice telling me that this iniquity should keep God’s mercy away. this is not true, because if i listen to this voice what will happen is me leaving payer, and this is the exact thing satan wants , is me leaving my relationship , my connection and my company with God,and when i do so, i will get so so far away, but because God loves us,and because he is merciful, he doesn’t push us away,but have mercy and hear our prayers. it’s like he is openning his arms for us, he doesn’t want us to go away from him despite our iniquities.

please remember romans 5: 8 “ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ”

and i encourage you to start reading the book of romans and pray to God to show you his thoughts for you.

just one last thing, what a reaction king David had after God showed him mercy and heared his prayer ,it’s in verse

20: Blessed be God,
         Who has not turned away my prayer,
         Nor His mercy from me!

The Devil’s Death Knell

May 30 The Devil’s Death Knell    

Our Lord, we praise Thee.                                 

Praise is the devil’s death knell.  Resignation, acceptance of My Will, obedience to it, have not the power to vanquish evil that praise has.

The joyful heart is my best weapon against all evil.  Oh! pray and praise.

You are learning your lesson.  You are being led out into a large place.  Go with songs of rejoicing.  Rejoice evermore.  Happy indeed if each day has its thrill of joy.

Talk to Me more during the day.  Look up into My Face – a look of Love, a feeling of security, a thrill of Joy at the sense of the nearness of My Presence – these are your best prayers.

Let these smooth the day’s work, then fear will vanish, and fear is the grim figure that turns aside success.

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me. Psalm 50:23

Me and Satan

Hi all, I want to share something with you, that i guess we all experience, it’s about how the devil (satan) have an impact on our lives and how the devil really effects my and your spiritual life.

I got it all from Matt4. Please read with me the following lines.

Matt 4
The Temptation of Jesus
1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6″If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
” ‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9″All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him

I want to share with you the following points:

1-  satan choose the best time, and the best conditions to tempt you.

where in verse 3 (The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”. )

satan here tempted jesus with the need of jesus in the perfect time  where in verse 2 ( After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.).

satan waited till jesus  got hungry, till he needed bread, and then he started tempting him, that says that the devil will not tempt me with something that i am already satisfied or do not need, as an example, if i am financially satisfied , and i am very satisfied with the money i got, satan is not going to tempt me to steal, or try to tempt me in this field, because i am satisfied and if he does i am going to shut him no great effort, but if i need money, satan is going to tempt me to steal,, or to tell me to work so hard  and let all the work take all my energy and my time and to consume my mind, so that my life becomes absorbed and centered about my work, leaving no time for God and no time to for family ,and anything that is going to draw me near to God and makes me a better man, satan is going to put a pressure on you in any field that you are not satisfied in, other example is relationships, I am a single man, and i have the need to love a woman and to marry , make a family and so, and for anyreason this need is not fullfiled, it’s not just a body’s need but an emotional need too ,, satan is goint to tempt me in this field, annoys me always with it, makes it a pressure on me, trying to lead me to unethical relationships , trying to draw me into the circle of pornography ” saying it is going to satisfy your physical and emotional needs”,, trying to lead me to fornication, etc….  -drowning me in sin- .

but Jesus gave us the solution in those temptations, gave us the key to get out of it in, verse 4 (Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.)

Jesus is telling us that you have a need, that’s true, but on the other hand you have Jesus, you have God,  jesus answered  ‘ IT IS WRITTEN ‘  , the word of God, the relationship you are having with God, the Father you have ,do not ignore it ( ignore that there is a God  who wants to be in your life, and don’t forget about how much this God can satisfy all your needs in  ways that are never harmless but much and much better , true, and lasting ),, if you are hungry , remember that you not only live on bread alone, but there is your relationship with God, there’s Jesus in your life.

as i am a single man ,sometimes when i see a couple, the need of being in love with a girl aches me,it leads sometimes self pety and sadness sneaks into me, and as mentioned up this opens up a door for the devil to tempt me as i mentioned up. but the way to fight this is to remember that i have Jesus, I have him in my life, so why have self pity and let this takes my peace away. i am not saying that the need of love is bad and so,my main point is that how the devil will tempt you in your weak point ,tempt you with your needs and in the perfect time and conditions ” after fasting 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry”

2- the second point is satan, tempts you to test God and his promises to you and me like he did with Jesus as in :

7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

satan used the verses from 5 to 6 to make Jesus test God,  can you feel how  dangerous it is to start thinking in your mind  ” yeah what if i fall in danger ,would God be there for me, mmm ok , i am going to put my self in danger and let’s see if Jesus is going to do exactly like he said or not”,, opening the gates of doubt and it’s like cancelling your faith in  God words and promises which is the confidence that God is going to fulfill everypromise he made to us,..

Jesus knew that if he throws himself down angels will come and hold him and lift him ,and the jews would see so and it would be a very easier way that  people believe that he is the messiah and save himself all the pain ( passion)  and the road to the cross ( it was presented in a very clear and beautiful way in the movie ” miracle maker ” ),

Jesus gave us from the answer this time too ” It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test” . the words of God are the answer, reading the word of God ( the bible) draws you closer to God ,and introduces him with his thoughts love and what he really thinks of you, getting to know him better, to read the word of God is your protection from all the lies that satans tell, if you pray that God gives you a daily bread from the bible ,talks to you and gives  you an understanding for his words,  then reading the bible is going to change your heart and mind, and God is all loving and willing that reading the bible really effective and not just ‘reading and let go’  .. in mattew 7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

3- the third point is where Satan is Going to tempt me with great,splendor,glorious things if i let go on God, if i surrender to him. it may be a temptation with money,fame, or so , even in choices ,if you have to choose between two things 1- to obey God and not do something, and this choice is going to make you lose an oppurtunity or brings you trouble 2- to disobey God, do something wrong, and this choice will lead you to have it all,.

know that the 2nd choice will lead you to lose your self and your salvation.

Satan here wanted Jesus to bow down to him ,to worship him, but jesus had the answer, and gave it to us, in verse 10 “10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.

11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him”… the answer of knowing the wrong from write is WRITTEN, it’s in God’s words, and jesus said to satan, “away from me” , telling satan go away from me in Jesus name, is a power that God gives to all who believe in him , to all his followers , to have the power to tread on satan  ( treading on scorpions and seprents ), Do not be afraid of evil       “Psalms 112:1-8 …Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly inHis commandments (words) … He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is
steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established; He will not be afraid”… also in jeremiah 1 “”Don’t be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you, says Yahweh.”

4- the 4rth point is a general one, which is that Satan insists to tempt you and doesn’t go away and leaves you from the first time, he just insists, but have no fear “If God is for us, who can be against us?” romans 8:31.

and remember james 4:7 ” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.

Isaiah 43: 1-3

But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
2″When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
3” For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

Fruitful Words

Hi all, ever read the parable of the sower ?   it is it’s in Mark 4 :1-2

 ¹Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. ²He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said: ³“Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. ⁴As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. ⁵Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. ⁶But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. ⁷Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. ⁸Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times.”

 ⁹Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

 ¹⁰When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. ¹¹He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables ¹²so that,
   ” ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
      and ever hearing but never understanding;
   otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!

 ¹³Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? ¹⁴The farmer sows the word. ¹⁵Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. ¹⁶Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. ¹⁷But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. ¹⁸Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; ¹⁹but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. ²⁰Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown.”

God is telling us that to be the good soil, the words of God should be fruitful in us, what does this mean? , I used to thought that if i am this fruitful land,, i produce fruits so that other people come and eat, i mean that i read the word of God and then in my service or in my daily life  i serve people with those fruits, i.e  i draw people more to God, i help them with the word of God, i know where exactly the part of the bible that is going to help this guy, or in my service i spread the word of God and so, my point is that ” if i am a good soil then other people are going to be closer to God  through me “.. do you get me ??.

but i have figured out that this is not exactly what the parable mean,sure people getting closer to God through me is a great thing. but God is telling me that if you are a good soil, that means that God’s words are going to be fruitful in my life, i am going to produce fruits for me, it’s when God throw his words on me ” words of God from the bible ” those words fall on me and i live them in my life , that’s the producing of the fruit, like when God tells in psalm 40:4″How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust,And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.”

this is God’s word, God is telling me ” put your  trust in me, trust me, don’t turn to others don’t turn to lies , trust me”

how am i going to be fruitful, it means that i believe those words, those words be living in my life, those words be in my heart and in my mind, it’s like i say ” God made this word fruitful in me, not just be words that i forget or words that i remember for a while and then go, no make them words that i live, words that i believe, that i trust you and put my life in your hands, if someone tells me something and you tells other thing, i trust you and i believe you not the other one” got me ? the fruits of the word of God is living them and believing them, not just as i read the bible and after i finish i remember the words but i am not living them.

like in john 15:12-14 “¹²My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. ¹³Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴You are my friends if you do what I command.” How those words are going to be fruitful, i tell God please i want to live your words , i want to do what you command, i want to love , i want to live this command, if i have hatred or issues that are keeping me from loving others  i want those feelings to go away,i want to love, and i want to believe and have it in my heart tht you died for me, and that i am your friend if i do what you command, the next time someone says something else or i think of something that is different than this, if i say that no this one hurt me  i can’t love him/her, i want your words to give fruits i want to love this one, i want to live your words.

this is what i get from being a good soil , that when God tells me something, i live this thing, when he tells me something through the bible, through a book, through a preaching,or anyother thing, i hold those words of God in my heart and i pray that they produce fruits ( that i live them) not just fall on me and satan take them away ,or work with them for a while and then disappar ,or when i live the word and troubles or presecutions come because of the word it falls away,or the thorns (¹⁹but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful) makes the words in me but i am not doing anything with them ( not living them, but i want to be like the others in the next verse: ” ²⁰Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown.”,, .

God loves us and  we should ask him that each time he scatters his words on us , we  hear those words, accept them and produce a crop  thrity ,sixty,or even a hundred times what was sown.

and sure by living the word of God, by getting closer to God, God will use us to bring people to him.
